Hassan Aslam Zubari - 2005

Hassan Aslam Zubari, kit no. 158/Ayub House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1960 and left the college in 1964 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 28 February 1946, and was married to Mrs. Maryam. They have three children - Sadaf, Wasif and Saba. They now live in Karachi.

Hassan Aslam Zubari is the eldest son of (the late) Mr. Hasan Masud Zuberi, who was Drawing teacher at Petaro from 1957 to 1978.

Upon leaving Petaro, he joined the Pakistan Mercantile Marine Academy, Juldia, Chittagong in 1964 and obtained a degree in Marine Engineering. He then sailed many ships around the world from 1969 to 1984 when he retired as a Chief Engineer.

In 1984, he joined Dadabhoy Cement as Operations Manager for a year and then became the Chief Engineer of Abid Silk Mills from 1985-1987. He joined Gul Ahmed Textile Mills as Group Chief Engineer from 1987 to 1994.

Since then, he has been with Gul Ahmed Energy Ltd. as Chief Engineer - a 137 MW power plant near Karachi built in the private sector.

Hassan Aslam Zubari - 1995
