Brig.(R) Abid Abaidullah

Brig.(R) Abid Abaidullah, kit no. 297/Latif House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1962 and left the college in 1967 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 30 August 1949 and got married to Mrs. Rakhshanda Akhtar on 13 April 1972. They have 4 daughters - Sabeen, Sarah, Izzah and Mehwish.

After passing out from Petaro, he joined the Pakistan Army in the 16th War Course. He was commissioned in 1968 and posted to the FF Regiment. He participated in the 1971 War in the Rajasthan Sector.

During his military career, he served in various command, staff and instructional appointments at various stations - such as command of Armoured Infantry Battalion, Army School of Mountain Warfare and Physical Training and as Commander of the Infantry Brigade at Bannu. He was also an instructor at the Iraqi School of Armour. He completed the Army Staff Course in 1981.

He rose up through the ranks to become a Brigadier. He finally retired in this rank.

At present, he is the General Manager Administration at Fatima Fertilizer Company Ltd in Rahim Yar Khan, but the family is settled down in Rawalpindi.

His younger brother Azmat Azimullah, kit no. 569/Latif is also a Petarian.
