Iqbal Ahmed Jumani

Iqbal Ahmed Jumani, kit no. 317/Latif House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1962 and left in 1966 during his 11th class studies.

He was born on 8 January 1949. After leaving Petaro, he completed his Intermediate and then went on to do his B.A. and M.A.(Political Science) with First Class First position.

He was married to Mrs. Fehmida on 13 March 1977. They have 4 children - Jamal, Fizza, Maliha and Kamal.

Iqbal Jumani joined the Income Tax department in 1973 and is still serving that department.  He rose up through the ranks to become Commissioner Income Tax and is now the Member of Appellate Tribunal.

During the course of his employment, he obtained a USAID scholarship for the International Tax Program at the Harvard Law School.

He is fluent in Urdu, English, Sindhi and Punjabi languages.

Iqbal Jumani was elected the President of the Petarian Association for a two year period in 1998. He is a well respected member among the senior Petarians.
