Raza Kamal Minhas, kit no. 584/Latif House joined Cadet College Petaro in 1964 and left the college in 1969 after completing his Intermediate.

He was born on 9 December 1952 and got married to Mrs. Yasmin on 27 December 1987. They have 3 children - Noor, Ehsan and Rehman.

Raza was my batch mate and my roommate in Latif House (1965-1969). We were the best of friends throughout those 4 years.

Raza was a great guy always. He was one of the best debaters that the college produced, and he brought great laurels to the college in inter-collegiate debates with different schools and won many first prized in debating. He was President of the English Debating Society.

He had a great voice, and was famous for the English songs he sang. Most of us remember the folk songs he used to sing.

In 12th class, he was elected the Chairman of the College Honour Committee.

After Petaro, Raza left for California, USA and joined the Northrop Institute of Technology to study Aeronautical Engineering.

Upon his return to Pakistan, Raza decided to get into the field of education, and he established the Foundation Public School at Karachi. Over the years, FPS has become one of the most prestigious educational institutions in Pakistan. It has a branch at Hyderabad as well.

It is an honour for me to be the roommate and batch mate of Raza Kamal Minhas.
