Bshir Memon
obtained his Bachelors in Civil Engineering from
NED College in 1967. Soon after his
graduation, he joined the Sindh Irrigation Dept. Three years later, he was transferred to the
Pak PWD in 1970, where he worked until his
retirement in 2005. He retired as a Superintending
Engineer (S.E.).
In addition, he
has served in other capacities as well. He as been
the Project Director for Federal Govt. Housing
Foundation, Karachi.
Since his
retirement, he has been heading Young Associates,
an engineering firm based in Karachi.
Bashir Memon
has many laurels to his credit. He was awarded the
Gold Medal for Social Service by Sindhi Muslim
Engineers Association, Karachi.
His services to
Cadet College Petaro and Petarians are
immeasurable. He is one of the Founder Members of
the Petarian Association, holding Life Membership
no. 1. He has held he position of
President of the
Petarian Association thrice - 1982-83, 1987-89 and
2005. Besides, he has been a member of the
Managing Committee of the Association in
different capacities for most of the period since
its inception.
He has served
Cadet College Petaro in the capacity of a
consulting engineer time and again since 1982.
He provided design and supervision services
through this period for various construction
projects at Petaro including the new Mess and the
Stadium.
He is fluent in
Urdu, English, Sindhi and Punjabi languages.
