Bhibekshan graduated from Mehran University for
Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro in
Computer Systems Engineering in 1989. He then
obtained an MBA degree in Marketing from the
Karachi University in 1992.
"Bhibs"
or "Shawn" - as he is popularly known in various
circles - has had a very progressive career
development over these two decades. Starting out
as an internee at IBM Pakistan, Universal Business
Machines Karachi and Algemene Bank of Nederland
while he was still a student, he became the
National Sales Manager for Saztel, Karachi between
1991 and 1994 for their different ranges of
electronics and communications products and
systems. During this period, he had an extensive
exposure with multinationals like Motorola, Cylink,
Hypercom, Gandalf Infotron, Multitech and many
others.
He moved to the USA in 1994 and worked initially
for a company called SIL, Inc as Sales Manager
from 1994-1996 for exports of hardware and general
merchandise to India, Pakistan and Mexico. During
1996-1998, he worked as Product Manager for Canara
Technologies, Inc based in California, creating a
global market for optical storage products
(CD/DVD). He then joined INSC Inc, California
between 1998-1999 as Director of Sales and
Marketing in the CD duplication business.
At a young age, he chose to become an entrepreneur
in 1999, and founded his own company called
Shivnet, Inc. based in California. The company
distributes IT products worldwide and deals in
products of a variety of major manufacturers of
hardware.
Bhibs has been a very conscientious Petarian, and
has been a great proponent of Petarian unity. He
has been in the forefront of promoting welfare and
charitable projects for Petaro and Petarians.
While supporting the
Petarian Foundation in its scholarship and
teacher training programs, he has been
instrumental in promoting the establishment of a
Secondary School for the people living in and
around Petaro in conjunction with the Citizens'
Foundation (TCF).
Its a real pleasure to have know Bhibs. He is a
