After leaving Petaro, he completed joined Liaquat University
for Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro and obtained his MBBS
degree in 1998. He then completed Part 1 in Urology as well in 2001.
However, his further medical studies came to a halt temporarily as
he chose to enter politics soon thereafter.
His family and his in-laws were in politics. His father-in-law Mr.
Ch. Muhammad Ilyas Jatt (who is also his maternal uncle) had been
the MNA in the past from Faisalabad. Nisar entered into his tradition
and ran for elections to the National Assembly in 2002 and was elected
on the PPPP ticket from Faisalabad. These elections were as a result of Gen. Musharraf's
coup in 1999. However, due to various factors that emerged right after the
elections, he became one of the
founder members of the PPPP-Patriots breakaway wing, which became a
separate party in its own right. In his capacity as the MNA from PPPP-P,
he was also appointed as Chairman of the Anti-Narcotics Parliamentary Committee.
Nisar Choudhary
lost the 2008 elections with the tide having
turned against the Musharraf regime. He chose to migrate to Canada and to
pursue his medical field. At present, he is in Kitchener, Ontario where
he is pursuing higher medical studies.
