Saeed belongs to the Kaimkhani
family. He joined Pakistan Army after leaving Petaro
from 1973 to 1983. He took early retirement as a
Captain. He was assigned personnel management jobs
and provided professional and security training to
the troops.
He then went on to acquire a B.A. degree in
Political Science and History and an M.A. in
English Literature and LL.B. Penal Code,
Constitutional Law, Criminal Procedure Code.
Saeed chose to go into public service and joined
the Foreign Service of Pakistan in 1987. His first
posting was as Second Secretary at the High
Commission of Pakistan in New Delhi from 1987-1990
in charge of Administration, Accounts and
Protocol. With a return to Islamabad, he was
appointed Director Personnel at the Foreign
Ministry from 1991-1994. He was posted to the
Pakistan Embassy in Bonn, Germany as First
Secretary in charge of Administrative and
Political Matters in 1994-1995 and then reverted
back to Islamabad in 1996-1997 as Deputy Chief of
Protocol.
The next four years were again abroad when he was
posted as the Deputy Chief of Mission at the
Pakistan Embassy in Sana'a, Yemen from 1997-2001,
and then to Katmandu, Nepal in a similar capacity
from 2001-2004.
He was posted back to Islamabad from 2004-2006 as
Deputy Chief of Protocol. In 2007, he served one
year at the Pakistan Embassy in Tripoli, Libya as
Deputy Chief of Mission and has been serving as
Counsellor/Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy
of Pakistan in Pyongyang, North Korea since 2008.
He is also the Chief Security Officer of the
Mission.
