Khalid is my batch mate (1964-1969), and he
was part of the large contingent of boys who were
taken into the college in 1967 due to the
expansion caused by construction of Iqbal and
Qasim Houses.
Khalid was a brilliant student. He was virtually
at the top of the class, and he stood first in the
final Intermediate Board examination in 1969.
At the same time, he was an
excellent sportsman. He was the best tennis and
squash player, and was the Captain of the college
Squash team from
1967-1969 and the Captain of the College
Tennis team from
1968-1969.
After his graduation, he graduated as an Aeronautical
Engineer and then joined PIA in 1974
as a Flight Engineer. His entire career has been with
PIA and he is one of the senior most flight engineers
in the airline. At present he is on the Boeing 747 Jumbo
aircraft.
