PAUAE — Petarian Association of UAE

Introduction, History & Activities:

Founded in 2009, the Petarian Association of UAE or PAUAE is the central body of the nearly 150 Petarians living in the UAE.

PAUAE came into being at a grand gathering of Petarians held at Cassell's Ghantoot Resort (located midway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi) on 13 February 2009. Over 130 people participated (60 Petarians and their families) on this well planned event.

Visitors from outside UAE included Salim Mastan (336) from USA, Kazi Zulkader Siddiqui (671) from Pakistan, Syed Abdul Aziz (6922) from Saudi Arabia, Ghulam Mujtaba Mahar (9423) from Saudi Arabia.

Senior Petarians from within the UAE who graced the occasion included Afzal Iqbal (383), Shafiq Ansari (478), Kamal Shahid Husain (785), Shahab Ayub (846) and many others.

Khalid Hussain Ranjhani, 82125/J was elected the first President of PAUAE during this meeting.

PAUAE has been holding annual gatherings at different resorts in UAE since. It has also held several meetings and gatherings with visitors from abroad.

Annual Gatherings:

 

The first Annual Gathering was held on 13th February 2009 at Cassell's Ghantoot Resort (located midway between Dubai and Abu Dhabi) when over 600 Petarians and their families (total around 130) got together.

 

The second Annual Gathering was held on 29-30 January at Al-Khatt Springs Hotel and Spa in Ras Al-Khaimah.

 

The third Annual Gathering was held on 5th March 2011 at Golden Tulip Al Jazira Hotel and Resort near Jebel Ali.
