Admiral
Bakhtiyar Mohsin was the thirtieth
Chairman Board of Governors of Cadet College Petaro
from 2007-2008.
He is
married and blessed with one son and two daughters.
He
retired from the Pakistan Navy as Rear Admiral.

Bakhtiyar Mohsin joined Pakistan Navy in 1971 and was
commissioned in the Operations Branch in 1973.
He
graduated from the Naval Command College USA and PN
Staff College. He is a specialized Torpedo Anti
Submarine Officer.
During
the course of his naval career, he served on various
billets and qualified as Surface Warfare Officer from
the USA in 1979. He commanded the destroyers PNS Harbah,
PNS Taimur, PNS Tariq and a missile boat.
He has
been the commandant of Pakistan Naval Academy and
Director General of Pakistan Maritime Security Agency
(2002-2005).
Among
his staff apointments, he served as Director Inter
Services Intelligence, Chief Staff Officer to Commander
Pakistan Fleet, and Flag Officer Sea Training.
During
2007-2008, he served as and Commander Karachi (COMKAR),
and was then posted to the position of Commander
Logistics (COMLOG) in 2008.
In recognition to his
meritorious services, the admiral has received many
awards. He has been decorated with Tamgha-e-Basalat and
Sitara-e-Imtiaz (Military) and Hilal-e-Imtiaz
(Military).
Bakhtiyar Mohsin was
promoted to the rank of Rear Admiral in November 2004.
While he was Commander
Karachi (COMKAR) during 2007-2008, he was also the
Chairman of Board of Governors of
Cadet College Petaro.
After his retirement from
the Navy in 2009, he joined the Bahria Foundation, and
is the Deputy Managing Director (South) as well as a
Member of the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
During 2007, he was also
the President of the Karachi Golf Club.
