Rear
Admiral Syed Ahmed Baqar
was the twenty fifth
Chairman Board of Governors of Cadet College Petaro
from 1999-2001.
He
retired from the Pakistan Navy as Rear Admiral.
His
younger brother was Lt.Cdr. Syed Mohammed Baqar, kit no.
167/Ayub

Baqar acquired his early education from Habib Public
School, Karachi.
He
joined Pakistan Navy in 1963 and was commissioned in the
Operations Branch in 1965. He participated in the 1965
and 1971 Indo-Pak wars.
While he was Commander
Karachi (COMKAR) during 1999-2001, he was also the
Chairman of Board of Governors of
Cadet College Petaro.
During 1999-2000, he was
also the President of the Karachi Golf Club.
He has been a member of
the Sindh Public Service Commission.
At present, Adm. Baqar is
the CEO of Infaq Foundation.
