Najmuddin Kazi is another of the legendary figures
of Petaro. He was known for his command over the
college during his tenure as the SUO.
He was the Champion for Light Welter Weight
Boxing, and an active member of Funkada Dramatic
Society. He was also a member of the College Band.
He was declared the Best Youth Leader in the
Pakistan Youth Leader Training at Murree and
Kaghan in 1963-1964.
He obtained a B.A. degree after Petaro and got
Second Position.
He then joined Pakistan Army and fought against
India in the 1971 War at the Sialkot front. During
his training at PMA, he was the Company Sergeant
Major and Ag. SUO.
After his early retirement from Pakistan Army in
1978, he obtained an MBA from CBM at PAF Base,
Korangi. He joined State Cement Corporation as
Deputy Manager and later on moved to Pakistan
Automobile Corporation as a Manager.
His last job was with Bolan Castings Ltd at Hub as
the General Manager (Admin and Personnel).
Major(R) Najmuddin Kazi expired on 1 January 2004
after a massive heart attack. May Allah grant him
the best place in Jannatul Firdaus.
