Zafar Khan joined the Civil Service of Pakistan.
Most of his career was with the Ministry of
Industries where he served as Deputy Secretary.
He retired from the ministry as a Federal Joint
Secretary in 2008. His last posting before
retirement was as Joint Secretary, Ministry of
Sports between 2007-2008. During this period, he
was also appointed Chairman, Prime Minister Task
Force on Sports.
He has been quite prominent on the Petarian scene
in Islamabad over the years, and has been a key
person in guiding the Petarian Association
Islamabad Chapter.
After his retirement in 2008, he is settled down in
Islamabad.
