Lt.Col(R) Javed Akhtar

Javed Akhtar Gondal,
kit no. 506/Latif House joined Cadet College
Petaro in 1964 in 8th Class and left the college
in 1969 after completing his Intermediate.
He was born on
27 September 1950, and was married to Mrs. Sarwat
on 9 November 1979. They have two children.

Javed was a member
of the college hockey and football teams. He
played the ICCST and was declared to be one of the
Famous Forties in 1968.
After leaving Petaro, Javed joined Pakistan Army.
He retired as a lieutenant colonel. His last
assignment was with ISI in Lahore. After his
retirement, he remained with the ISI in Lahore on
contract.
Javed was always
amongst the light-hearted people of our class. His
jokes and laughter ring through my ears even to
this day. He is a great friend indeed.
