Asmat Sami Siddiqui, kit no.
652/Qasim House joined Cadet College Petaro in
1965 and left the college in 1970
after completing his Intermediate.
He was born on
17 May 1953. He has two sons - Imran and Khayam.

Asmat Sami (now known as "A. Sami" or just "Sami"),
moved to the USA within a year of leaving Petaro
in 1971. He joined California State University in
Los Angeles, CA, USA and graduated from there in
Business and Economics.
After his education, he chose to enter the banking
industry. Over the years, he worked with Wells
Fargo Bank, Providian Bancorp, and Citibank, NY.
His last appointment with Citibank was in the
position of CEO of North America Credit Card
Division.
He has also provided consulting services to
different banks as well, including HSBC, Bank of
America, Sears Financial, and MasterCard
International. Since his retirement, he has
provided expert's testimony in large litigation in
the banking industry. He is very highly regarded
in the banking industry.
Sami has been heavily involved in supporting
charitable work. He has endowed funds at CSULA
Foundation and for The Citizen's Foundation, USA.
In addition, he has provided support for various
other organizations including Central Asia
Institute (CAI), Salam of Sacramento and the
Petarian Foundation (for scholarships to needy
students at Petaro). He is also a Director of Amina
Foundation, USA, which is involved in various
philanthropic works.
On the personal side, Sami is very active
physically. He loves to go trekking,
mountain-biking and canyoning. He has traveled
extensively in the USA, and his international
tours include Maccu Picchu in Peru, Patagonia in
Chile, Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, and Cappadocia
in Turkey.
During his years at Petaro, Sami was the President
of the Chemical Hobbies Club.
He is settled along with his family in San
Francisco.
