Naim Sipra moved to
the USA and obtained his bachelors in Chemical
Engineering from University of Texas, Austin, TX,
USA in 1976. He then completed his MBA (Finance)
in 1978 and PhD in Finance in 1981 from the same
university.
Dr. Naim Sipra had
been affiliated with Lahore University of
Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore for over 20
years - one of the founding faculty members. In
his last posting, he was Professor of Finance at
the Suleman Dawood School of Business at LUMS, and
Director of the Case Research Centre at LUMS. He
was also the Editor of the Asian Journal of
Management Cases, Investment Analysis and
International Finance.
Naim left an
indelible mark at LUMS amongst his colleagues and
students. He was extremely well-liked and
commanded great love and respect in that
community. Upon his death, his colleagues and
