Tariq graduated
with B.S. in Systems Science from the University
of West Florida in 1987. Since his graduation, he
has been involved mostly with telecom IT
solutions.
His first job was
as Systems Analyst with Harcourt Brace Javanovich
Inc from 1987-1990 where he supported on-line
production environment running order processing,
shipping, back order maintenance, and developed an
EDI business process for nationwide sales force.
He then worked
briefly for a few months each during 1990 as Lead
Consultant with AT&T and Convergys. Between
1991-1993, he returned to AT&T as Project Manager
where he developed an AD HOC environment used as
VTNS Operations Management Business Intelligence
Tool.
During 1993-1995,
he worked as Development Manager with Verizon
supporting an audio conferencing reservation
system and calling card fraud applications. He
then joined Skytel as Senior Consultant between
1995-1997 for systems planning, design,
construction and implementation.
In 1997, he
joined World Wide Technologies as Director
Business Applications Development to coordinate
and develop implmentation of PeopleSoft Financial
modules and Asset Management modules.
In 2000, he moved
to Islamabad, Pakistan where year worked for a
year as Management Consultant with Ufone - a GSM
mobile network owned by PTCL (currently owned by
Etisalat). His main work was to develop billing
and customer care solutions. He then moved back to
the USA in 2001 and worked briefly for Sprint
Nextel as Management Consultant.
Since 2002, he
has been working as Vice President, Business
Development with
Worldwide
Technologies Inc. based in Norcross, GA, USA
