After leaving
Petaro, Mashhood graduated in Computer Science
from Pakistan. He then moved to the USA from where
he obtained an MBA and Ph.D. degree in IT. He is
also certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT
(CGEIT).
Mashhood then
settled down in Edmonton, AB, Canada and obtained
the Canadian citizenship while keeping his
Pakistani citizenship as well.
Since his return to
Pakistan in 2006, he has been involved with the
Govt of Sindh as the Member of the IT Board. He
then founded his own consulting company under the
name of Softek Consulting Services to provide
governance and management consulting services to
the government and the private sector.
In his professional
capacity, he is President of the Pakistan ICT
Consortium, Member of Information Systems Audit
and Control Association (ISACA), Member of the
Joint Technical Committee of Pakistan Standards
and Quality Control Authority, Member IT Sub
Committee of Karachi Chamber of Commerce &
Industry, and Member of Curriculum Advisory Board
of PAF-KIET College of Computing and Information
Sciences. Together with this, he is Member of
Project Management Institute USA, MBA Association
USA, and Pakistan Engineering Council.
In recent past, he has been one of the most active members of the
Petarian Association.
He has served on the Managing Committee of the
Association in different capacities.
