Shoaib Yahya, kit no. 7899/Liaquat House joined
Cadet College Petaro in 1978 in 8th Class and left
the college in 1983 after completing his
Intermediate.
He was born on
2 March 1966 and got married
to Mrs. Ayesha on 23 December 1996. They have 2 children
- Omair and Izza.

Shoaib
was a star of his batch. He became the
SUO (Senior Under Officer)
of the college during his last year at Petaro. He
was also the captain of the college
Tennis team and the
President of the
Aeromodelling Club and the
English Debating Club.
He graduated from University of Maryland in 1990
with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was
the President of Eta Kappa Nu in 1990, and has
been a member of IEEE since 1990.
His started his
career with Bechtel as Lead Engineer for Power
Generation, IT Engineering, Control Systems and
Wireless Engineering from 1990-1993. He then
worked with Sprint from 1993-1995 as Technical
Consultant for RF Engineering. He was Senior
Project Manager with LCC International from
1993-1999. He joined WFI (Wireless Facilities Inc)
as a Manager in 1999 and was promoted to position
of Vice President a year later. He remained with
them until 2005. Since then, he has been
working with GCB Services in Virginia as Senior
Vice President.
Shoaib is a
specialist and consultant in RF Design,
Optimization, FNE, E911,Site Acquisiton,
Construction Mangement, and In-Building Services,
for GSM, iDEN, CDMA, EVDO, WIMAX, UMTS, and LTE
technologies. He is settled in Virginia.
