During his days at Petaro, Naseer was the
President of the Hamd-o-Naat Society. Later on
during his Navy tenure, he stood first in the
COMKAR Command Hamd-o-Naat Competition in 1999.
Naseer joined Pakistan Navy shortly after leaving
Petaro. While was still a lieutenant, he was
appointed as the Adjutant of Cadet College Petaro
in the year 1998. He was the twenty-third
Adjutant of the college. He served the
college as adjutant for 2 years until 2000. Right after leaving Petaro,
he was promoted to the rank of a Lieut. Commander.
He was then sent to
the Staff College and obtained an M.Sc. in Defence
and Strategic Studies in 2002 from Quaid-e-Azam
University, Islamabad. He was then posted to Naval
Intelligence.
