After leaving Petaro, Atif joined Hamdard
Institute of Management Sciences, Hamdard
University Karachi in 1996. He obtained a
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, and
then obtained his MBA in Finance in 2000.
After working with Standard Chartered Bank for a
while, Atif joined his father's company Pacific
Chartering and Trading Pvt Ltd, and is currently a
Director. His father
Abdul Rashid Abro 370/L is a prominent
Petarian and has been the President of the
Petarian Association as well.
Atif has served one term on the
Managing Committee of
the Petarian Association in the late 1990s.
