Cdre. Muhammad Aslam, PN, (popularly known as Aslam Rana) is the current principal/commandant of Cadet College Petaro. He was given this appointment in May 2007. He is the twelfth principal of the college.

Cdre. Aslam is also a Petarian. He is kit no. 7179/Jinnah House. He joined Cadet College Petaro as a cadet in 1971 and completed his Intermediate from the college in 1976.

He was born on 18 July 1957 and got married to Mrs. Razia on 10 February 1988. They have five children - Muhammad Furqan Ali (kit no. 2007179), Bisma, Muhammad Noman Sharif (kit no. 2007178), Muhammad Ameer Hamza, and Fatima.

Aslam joined Pakistan Navy after leaving Petaro in 1976. During his career with the Navy, he served in many different positions. He was also the Commander Training Ashore (CTA) in the COMKAR Office prior to becoming the Principal of Cadet College Petaro.

During his tenure as Principal, President Asif Ali Zardari visited Petaro as the Chief Guest at the Parents' Day in December 2008.

Cdre. Aslam promoted a stronger relationship with the Petarian Association to enhance the relationship with the Petarian community. The Petarian Foundation continued with its support to the college during his tenure with greater number of scholarships and the annual grant for Hajj sponsorship for one CCP employee.
