Capt.(R) Shukruddin, PN, was the fourth
principal/commandant of Cadet College Petaro from
1975-1980.
He was born on 1 August 1920, and got married to
Mrs. Zubaida on 1 April 1952.
They have three
sons who are all Petarians - Faisal Shukr, 956/A,
Farhan Shukr, 957/Latif and Irfan Shukr,
7480/Ayub.
He died on 18 February 1998 of old age and heart
problems and is buried at Islamabad graveyard.

Capt(R) Shukruddin, PN got his MSc in Mathematics
from Government College Lahore in 1947. His first
job was as a teacher for a year and a half at
Islamia College immediately after graduation.
He then joined Pakistan Navy in
1949 in the Education Branch. He was from the same
batch as Cdr.(R)
Asrarullah.
During his tenure at Pakistan Navy, he was
sent to the UK for training in 1952. He was also
the Director Naval Education Services in Karachi
from 1971-1975. He then became the Principal of
Petaro in 1975.
After completion of
his service at Petaro,
he
was appointed the Commander Training at COMKAR
Office Karachi in 1980. He retired from the Navy
in 1984. He had also been
an instructor at Military College Jhelum.
