Hafiz
Mushtaq Sahib spent his childhood and early education up
to Matric in Mandi Bahauddin.
Much of his
higher educational and
professional life was in Karachi and the Sindh. All of his
university education was from Karachi University, from
where he obtained an M.A. degree in Islamic Studies,
B.Ed., M.Ed., LL.B. and an M.Phil in Education. His thesis for
his M.Phil. was on "Ibn Khaldun kay talimi nazariyat".
With
an entrepreneural bent of mind, he started his own
business of export of food to Saudi Arabia in 1976.
Around 1979, he was forced to leave his business to move
to Badin to resolve issues of family land upon the death
of one of his brothers. It took nearly 2 years to
resolve all the issues.
After this
resolution, he decided to take up employment and his first
job was with Haji Abdullah Haroon Government College, Karachi
during 1981-1983. He then moved to Cadet College Petaro in
1983 and served as the professor of Islamiyat until 1992.
During his
years at Petaro, he was the House Master of
Shahbaz House from
1983-1989, and House Master of Latif House from 1989-1992.
After
leaving Cadet College Petaro, Sipra Sb at first joined Sadiq
Public School in 1992 as Professor of Islamiyat and worked for 4 years until 1996.
He was also the House Master of Alamgir House at Sadiq Public
School. That
year, he was invited by Cdre S.I.
Malik to join Bahria Foundation to establish a string of
colleges. Cdre. S.I.Malik was
Director of Education in Bahria Foundation at that time.
He was
instrumental in the establishment of the Bahria College
campuses at F-10 and Westridge, and worked as the Principal of
the colleges.
He then left
Bahria Foundation in 1999 to try to establish a cadet college
type of campus at Murree. In conjunction with other friends,
he established the Pakistan School and Cadet College at Murree
in 1999. Two years later, he developed differences with his
partners and left that college in 2001.
At this
time, Hafiz Mushtaq Sb decided to establish a cadet college on
his own at Fatehjang near Islamabad. He laid its foundation in
2001 on a plot of land just a few kilometers short of
Fatehjang.
Unfortunately, Hafiz Mushtaq Sb did not live to build it into
a full fledged institution and see it flourishing. He died of
a massive heart attack on 7 January 2002 at Cadet College Fatehjang,
barely 4 months after it was founded.
The job of building this educational institution lay on the
shoulders of his son
Hasnaat and his colleagues.
May Allah
rest Hafiz Mushtaq Sipra Sb's soul in peace and grant him
Jannatul Firdaus.
