Mr. Syed Hashmat Ali - 2011

Mr. Syed Hashmat Ali joined Cadet College Petaro in
1979 as Lecturer of English and retired in 1996 as
Assistant Professor.
He was born in Rajasthan, India in 1936 and
migrated to Pakistan with his family shortly after
independence. He got married to
(late) Mrs. Zubaida Begum. They have four sons -
Haqeeqat Ali, Hidayat Ali, Hikmat Ali (kit no.
74120/Jinnah), and Haider Ali (kit no.
7792/Liaquat).

Mr. Hashmat completed his M.A. in English. He was
always a very good sportsman throughout his life,
and was coach of athletics and hockey at Petaro.
He was also House Master of
Jinnah House from
1991-1992.
After leaving Petaro, Mr. Hashmat settled down in
Karachi. He has been coaching students privately
and leads a simple life. His main aim in life is
to be close to his Creator, and never misses an
opportunity to go to the Holy Land as frequently
as possible.
