Mr. Mohammad Raza Otho joined Cadet College Petaro in 1982 to teach English and left the same year after a very short stay.

Mr. Otho was married to Mrs. Nargis Otho, who is Asst. Professor at the Dept. of English, University of Sindh. They have two children.

He died of cardiac arrest at Riyadh on 20 May 2006.

Soon after leaving Petaro, Mr. Otho sat for the CSS examination, and was selected in the Foreign Service. He is a graduate of the Civil Service Academy as well as the Foreign Service Academy. He was formally inducted into Foreign Service in October 1983.

He served in different capacities at Pakistan embassies in Moscow, Holland and Kenya, and was also posted to different political desks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.

He was often clearly visible at different functions wearing the Sindhi ajrak and topi to depict the culture of his native province of Sindh. He was known for his good interaction with diplomats and for his networking.

Mr. Otho died in Riyadh in 2006 while he was still in service.
