Mr. Syed Abdul Khalique

Mr. Syed Abdul Khalique was
lecturer of Mathematics Cadet College Petaro from
1974-1975.
He was
born on 21 August 1951 at Hyderabad and married Mrs.
Fatima Lal on 28 March 1975. They have 3 children -
Zainab, Ziaur Rehman and Sana.

Syed Abdul Khalique
acquired his early education up to 5th class at Shah
Abdul Latif School, Hyderabad. He then moved to Govt.
High School Hyderabad from where he got his
Matriculation in 1966. He completed his Intermediate in
1968 and B.Sc. degree in 1970 from Govt. College
Hyderabad, and his M.Sc. degree in Mathematics from
University of Sindh in 1972.
His first job was as
teacher of Mathematics at St. Bonaventure's High School,
Hyderabad from 1973-1974. That year, he joined Cadet
College Petaro.
At Petaro, he was the
Assistant House Master of Latif House, and was the
assistant to Prof. Durrani for basketball coaching.
In 1975, he got an
opportunity to go abroad, and he moved to Nigeria. He
worked there for 8 years at Adeola Odutola College in
Ogun State at Mathematics teacher. He then became the
Head of Department of Mathematics there.
He returned to
Pakistan in 1983 and applied for jobs. Although he was
offered to rejoin Cadet College Petaro, he chose to join
Pakistan Steel Cadet College which had just been
established a year earlier. He spent the rest of his
career there until 2002. During this period, he served
in different capacities - as House Commandant, Head of
Department of Mathematics and Head of Department of
Computer Science. He was appointed Vice Principal of the
college in 1992 and Principal in 1999. He remained the
Principal of Pakistan Steel Cadet College until 2002. He
then he moved to Shah Latif Degree College, Pakistan
Steel as its Principal.
In 2003, he took a
golden handshake from Pakistan Steel, and joined
E-Complex College, Gulshan-e-Hadeed as its Vice
Principal for two years.
At this point, he got
another opportunity to go abroad to Oman. He got
employed as the Principal of Pakistan International
School at Musana, Oman from 2005-2007, and then the
Principal of Pakistan International School at Salalah,
Oman from 2007-2011.
He is back in
Pakistan since the summer of 2011, and taking it easy.
